Digital printing prints directly from a digital file sent to a digital printer. This is in contrast to offset printing and other commercial methods that use printing presses and plates. The benefits to this process are many:

o For those unfamiliar with commercial printing methods, file preparation can be less complicated.

o When doing smaller print-on-demand jobs or producing short runs, it can be less time consuming and more affordable.

o The level of quality is comparable to that of offset printing.

o Digital printing makes it less expensive and simpler to print multiple variations or to make last minute changes to a print job.

o There is no expense associated with setting up the presses or plate making.
